About Care Cuts

The mission of Care Cuts is deeply personal. For our founder, a career hairstylist and mother to a child with special needs, the drive to ease the fears associated with a simple hair trim is an extension of her own life’s work.

Early in her career, she discovered the unique challenges faced by clients with severe sensory sensitivities. She learned that for many, the sensation of a haircut can feel as intense as getting a tattoo. This reality hit home when her own son began to struggle with the same sensory demands. Amidst the journey of teaching him to walk, talk, and eat, she realized she had to transform grooming from a traumatic event into a non-threatening routine.

The Challenge

Care Cuts is a nonprofit organization in Grapevine, Texas, dedicated to providing sensory-friendly haircuts for children with autism and special needs throughout the DFW area. While their mission was making a meaningful impact in the community via word-of-mouth. Their brand was not well known in the greater community, despite the amazing work they had been doing for years.

Their existing website did not effectively communicate their unique value, showcase parent success stories, or support continued growth with their brand identity. They also lacked a structured marketing strategy and digital advertising presence, limiting their ability to reach the families who needed their services most.

Brand awareness expanded dramatically, generating more than 75,000 brand views.
